What Does NOHR Money Buy?

So, why are these researchers thanking me? What does this $20,000 buy for them; what does it do for their career?

It pays for:

  • animal acquisition and maintenance
  • graduate students and post docs
  • equipment

It also:

  • allows researchers to gather preliminary data for a year and explore new ideas
  • leads to their presenting peer-reviewed papers at professional meetings/symposiums
  • leads to acceptance of their findings to be published in peer-reviewed journals
  • allows young investigators to gain confidence in the importance of their ideas
  • gives them status and respect in the eyes of their mentors and universities
  • often helps them establish their own labs
  • helps make researchers jobs secure

Best of all, it leads to larger grants to continue their work and affords the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers all over the world.
